What is Marinka Waterfall?
Marinka Waterfall is a private nature reserve with two cascades surrounded by jungle, where you can swim in natural pools. Its signature feature is the hanging hammocks at a viewpoint over the valley — a corner that went viral and is now one of Minca’s most iconic images.
How to get to Marinka Waterfall
Marinka is about 3 km from Minca town, up the road toward Los Pinos. Options:
- Motorbike taxi: the most practical, about 10 minutes on an unpaved road.
- Walking: 45–60 minutes uphill, a pleasant hike through nature.
From the entrance, a short, signposted trail leads to the falls in 10–20 minutes.
Entry fee & opening hours
Entry costs around 10,000–15,000 COP per person and it’s usually open during the day (roughly 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Bring small cash notes.
What to do there
- Swim in the pools at the foot of the falls.
- Relax in the viewpoint hammocks over the valley.
- Grab a coffee or fresh juice at the small café.
- Photography: the best light is mid-morning.
